A Control Panel is a tool that is used to manage the content of a hosting account. This includes, but is not limited to, files, e-mails, databases, stats and different operations executed with them. The Control Panel offers a web-based interface to handle these things and anything else related to the web hosting service using different sections in which you can access features through menus and/or buttons. The less complicated to use a Control Panel is, the simpler it'll be for you to handle your web presence in general. In the common scenario, the CP is the web hosting account’s back office, while an independent billing account is used to control payments and domain registrations - if the company provides that service. Trouble tickets could be dealt with through the billing account or by using an independent system.
